What could taste better than a freshly brewed cup of strong coffee in the morning?

Well, a bowl of blueberries  or raspberries tastes great, so does a glass of grape juice or an orange. But, you might   say, the fruit is better for me, so I’ll just go for the fruit!

Go for the fruit, but don’t skip the coffee. A report in last years New England Journal of medicine of 229,119 men and 173,141 women in the National Institutes of Health–AARP Diet and Health Study found that drinking coffee reduces the risk of dying! One cup a day decreased the risk of death by 5% and 6 cups reduced it my 15%.

Hold on though, it is true only for non-obese, coffee drinkers who do not smoke, and do not eat lots of red meat!

The secret ingredient in coffee? Antioxidants! Yes, a cup of coffee has more antioxidants than the four servings of fruit mentioned above. So, sit back, read the paper, and enjoy another cup of JOE!
