After that last, long post about an unpleasant subject I want to let you all in on some great news!! Our 17 y/o grandson Harry, just announced that he has been accepted to West Point!! What an honor! I always knew he was destined for greatness; I just didn’t know what shape that destiny would take. We are so pleased for him.
It is a long, hard pull, but if anyone can do it, he can. He seems to welcome challenges! He went out for high school football even though he never reached 140#. He never complained about the 5 AM weight lifting sessions or the two-a-day practices! He plays a trombone in the HS band, has a great GPA, teaches grade school kids in Sunday School, works weekends in a clothing store and has been a leader in Junior ROTC. But best of all, he is just a wonderful, pleasant, humble high school boy. He makes all of us proud! Yea, yea, Harry!!!!
