Yesterday after church one of my friends ran up to me and told me how happy he was that I was still alive. He went on to tell how he saw my Face Book page with a picture of a wooden box and the title, “Yesterday we buried our best friend – Dr. Par Donahue”
He didn’t read the post until after he called his wife to ask her if she knew what had happened. I explained I was still alive.
Please accept Mark Twain”s quote above as my apology to anyone who read the words as written and started to mourn, or celebrate, my death. I have no control on the format on Facebook; if I do, I don’t know it.
As you no doubt know, our wonderful dog of 15+ years left this earth last Monday. Mary and I are beginning to regain our composure and get on with life. After all, death is a part of life.
Once again, thanks, all of you who sent well wishes. I am sorry I made any of you become concerned about my welfare. I’ll have a new happy post some time later in the week.
